I’m not sure if y’all remember when I shared about the skin discoloration on my back a little while ago, but I finally figured out what it is! . If you’ve been following me for a bit, I thought that the spot on my back (swipe right to see) was Tinea Versicolor. . But after getting a skin biopsy at the dermatologist, I actually found out that I have a rare skin condition called Morphea. . It’s basically an auto-immune disease where your skin produces too much collagen (which hardens and discolored the skin) from too much inflammatory activation or stress. . So I’ve been trying to figure out what I can do to decrease the inflammation in my body and I came across @balancegenics Ashwaghanda Root supplement. . For those of you who don’t know, Ashwaghanda Root is also known as Indian Ginseng and has lots of benefits. . It supports: •Adrenal Health (helps regulate your energy and flight/flight responses) •reduces inflammation •can reduce cortisol levels •can improve libido •can help reduce stress and anxiety . This week, I’ve been sleeping much better and waking up way more energized. I’ve also had a bigger urge to get up and move my body! . If you guys have any other recs, I would love to hear it! I’m not sure if there are others with #morphea out there, but if you are I’d love to learn more about how you manage it! #sponsored #ad . . . . . #morphea #mbracethejourney #ashwaghandaroot #herbalsupplements #strengthtraining #yogafit #autoimmunedisease #yogateacher #yogateacherlife #austinyoga #atxyoga #austinyogateachers
